The jigsaw acquisition problem is best solved by mentioning its existence in the hearing of your grandmother, assuming you're happy to take ownership of a near-infinite quantity of lightly used puzzles which can only be solved by leaving them partially set up for weeks at a time and going crazy over them. (Which I believe is the purist's idea of how it's meant to work).
