Well, hasn't this been an untended garden. Looking along the interests I listed when I chose the name: Yes, Jo Walton's Among Others is a book I love, and which I encountered at the best moment possible; I still like acting, but haven't done any for years; still like Shostakovitch, haven't listened to any lately; Miyazaki always and forever; the game of Squash I've given up, but I'm probably better than I used to be at making soup from them; Talking Heads, when I'm in the mood, energize me in a way other music never has, which says something about them and something about how little music I listen to; The Dispossessed I have never reread, though I expect to like it very much still, and it should probably be replaced in this list by Stars in my Pocket like Grains of Sand if I was including it for 'book that has most recently made me find my whole society deeply peculiar'; Tree of Life, Terrence Malick, taught me what symbolism is, and I will watch it again someday and see if it's still transcendentally beautiful; writing fiction is the one thing on my list of interests that I'd be happy to have define my life, and we'll see how that goes.

I live in Wellington, New Zealand. I'm about to finish a Classics degree mixed with bits of Biology, unless I'm about to do something else. Further information will in theory turn up in the journal itself, assuming I keep it this time.
