Or here's another sculpture I don't have a picture of: Raewyn Atkinson, who I garden for, makes pale blue-glazed porcelain plates and bowls. Because she hates to waste things, she makes those which break in firing or in daily use into little piles, and fires them again, mimicking the archaeological remains from a kiln accident she saw in a museum years ago. Curves seen through the breaks in different curves, slightly translucent, looking sometimes like the overlap of waves.
